Before, advisors were constantly toggling between different systems, UI experiences, and data models. To serve their clients, they often had to integrate disconnected data themselves, in their heads or within spreadsheets.
Using Unqork as both an integration and UX layer, Gourvitch and his team were able to completely rearchitect the advisor experience. Instead of anchoring on the capabilities of underlying systems, they designed it around actions that deliver value to clients, from creating a financial plan to filing a tax return.
“We wanted product systems, client records, permission systems, RBAC, and the rest to be in service of the actions clients value, rather than making them the center of gravity of the system itself,” explained Gourvitch.
Unqork has eliminated operational complexity and technical debt. “Thanks to Unqork, we can spend much more time thinking about new capabilities, and that’s making a very meaningful impact on the business,” he added.
Gourvitch also detailed other benefits of the project:
