Customer Panel: Aon, Macquarie, and Lockton Drive Business- & Product-Led Transformation with Unqork
2 minutes
Business and IT teams at major insurance and financial services firms are co-creating customer-centric, value-driven solutions that deliver measurable impacts
In this enlightening conversation, three insurance and financial services leaders—Amit Mantrow, Chief Data, Analytics & Digital Officer at Lockton; Tricia Blair, Chief Digital Officer & CIO at Aon; and Gerard McGarry, Head of Strategy and Operations, Risk Management at Macquarie—explained how Unqork is enabling them to shift from traditional, IT-driven transformation toward a business-led model.
Here are some of the key insights they shared with Kayvan Parvin, Head of Financial Services at Unqork, who moderated the conversation:
The shift to business and product-led transformation is a competitive imperative. Customers are demanding greater choice and insight, and business teams have more granular insight into their rapidly changing preferences. “The key to successful transformation lies in aligning technology investments with client-centric goals,” said Blair.
Transformation is a marathon in sprints. To drive momentum, stakeholders “need to see the change and impact quickly,” said Mantrow.
Adoption is critical to success. Solutions only generate value when users adopt and use them. By unlocking business-led transformation, Lockton is investing in “capabilities that teams really enjoy using,” said Mantrow.
Even AI initiatives should grow out of user needs. Moving away from a centralized AI governance model, Aon is focused on building AI capabilities that the business says it needs. “We are really embracing AI and making it part of our DNA,” Blair said.
“Unqork helped us accelerate delivery. But more importantly, they brought experience in our space, which has been incredibly valuable in shaping how we go to market.”
—Tricia Blair, Chief Digital Officer & CIO, Aon
“Business-led transformation forces you to break down silos. A technology like Unqork can sit across those silos and really accelerate that change.”
—Gerard McGarry, Head of Strategy and Operations, Risk Management, Macquarie
“We are moving from being transactors to advisors to our customers, with advice that is rooted in data, analytics, and information.”
—Amit Mantrow, Chief Data, Analytics & Digital Officer at Lockton
