What Quantiphi built & why

The Quantiphi team decided to tackle institutional onboarding because, for many firms, it is an expensive and painfully manual for both customers and employees. Institutional onboarding, including KYC efforts, costs firms upwards of $25 billion a year, explained Kalita. It includes four integrations, including email, SMS, intelligent assistance for back-office personnel powered by Google Cloud’s models, and Dociphi, Quantiphi’s AI-powered flagship solution for intelligent document processing (IDP), which runs on Google Cloud’s Document AI

The solution also serves three different personas, including: 

  • Front-office employees: The solution enables the front-office to quickly digitize documents, which are then tied to the product in question. Fields are pre-populated from the CRM system. Employees can then quickly verify that documentation is complete and submit them for review. 
  • Reviewer: Thanks to an integration with Dociphi, reviewers can leverage AI instantly to determine if the documentation is complete and accurate. Dociphi provides a score of its accuracy and completion—a powerful example of human-in-the-loop AI and a big first step towards straight-through processing. 
  • Compliance officer: Very quickly, the compliance officer has all the details they need for decision-making. Not only is key data extracted from documentation and the CRM system for their review, but also insights from ratings engines, past customer interactions, and more. The reviewer can then quickly assign a risk level, add any additional comments as necessary, and with a click create an automated report.
